With the first term coming to a close, the March holiday provides an important checkpoint to assess your child’s understanding of the concepts taught so far. If your child is struggling with any concepts, then this break is the opportunity to catch up before the start of the next academic term.

P5 English Camp

The English March Camp covers significant skills required for Paper 1 and Paper 2. It is ideal for students who have trouble reading and interpreting passages to derive correct answers.

The program emphasizes critical thinking as students navigate more complex texts and learn to form grammatically correct answers with reasoning.

Day 1: Grammar

  • Present/Past tenses, SVA, Proximity Rule, Determiners; Grammar Cloze and Editing

Day 2: Synthesis

Day 3: Creative Writing (Framework)

Day 4: Vocab and Comprehension

  • Vocab Cloze and MCQ; Comprehension (Summary and Question Types)

Day 5: Comprehension Cloze

  • Annotations on passages

P5 Maths Camp

The Math March Camp is designed for students who are weaker in problem sums. Over 5 days, it equips students with essential problem-solving skills and covers all must-know concepts tested in the PSLE.

Day 1: Whole Numbers

  • Grouping, Stacking

Day 2: Decimals

  • Maximum and Minimum, Assumption

 

Day 3: Fractions

  • Equal Numerator, Branching and Remainder Theorem

 

Day 4: Ratio

  • Repeated Identities, Internal Transfer

 

Day 5: Percentage

  • GST, Discount, One-Unchanged

P5 Science Camp

The P5 March Camp (Science), held during the March Holidays, covers a revision of major content blocks learned from Primary 3 to Primary 5. This camp is specifically designed for students who struggle with remembering Lower Block Science concepts and the keywords taught in school.

A strong foundation is essential, as students often struggle in Primary 5 due to a tougher syllabus with increased content and the application of process skills. Attending this camp helps students consolidate their knowledge and strengthen their overall foundation in Science.

Day 1: Diversity

  • Characteristics of Living and Non-Living Things, Plants and Animals, Fungi & Bacteria, Exploring Materials

Day 2: Lower Block Cycles and Systems

  • Life Cycles, Matter & Its Three States, The Digestive System, Plant System

Day 3: Lower Block Interactions and Energy

  • Magnets, Light Energy, Heat Energy

Day 4: Upper Block Cycles

  • Reproduction in Flowering Plants: Pollination, Fertilisation, Seed dispersal, and Germination

Day 5: Upper Block Systems

  • Air & the Human Respiratory System, The Circulatory System, Electrical System

  • English: 9 am to 10.45 am

  • Maths: 10.45 am to 12.30 pm
